World Engine reference list...
Here is a list of various models that use a version of the 2.4L "world engine" found in the Sebring/200. It is not an all-inclusive list, but should serve as a good starting point if you are on the way to your local salvage yard looking to pirate some parts. Or are online looking for factory parts that might fit.
I posted this list on the Avenger forums and Lancer forums, as well. 1.8L (86mm X 77mm) Dodge 2007-2009 Caliber SE, SXT Kia (G4KB) 2005-2008 Optima Mitsubishi (4B10) 2007-2017 Lancer Proton (4B10) 2010-2015 Inspira 2.0L (86mm x 86mm) Dodge 2007-2012 Caliber SE, SXT Hyundai (G4KA) 2004-2007 Sonata Hyundai (G4KD) 2009-2015 Tucson/ix35 2007-2014 Sonata Jeep 2007-2017 Compass 2007-2017 Patriot Kia (G4KA) 2005-2007 Optima 2006-2013 Rondo Kia (G4KD) 2008-2012 Forte 2008-2012 Optima 2010-2013 Sportage Mitsubishi (4B11) 2007-now Delica 2018-now Elcipse Cross 2007-2017 Lancer/Galant 2008-2013 Outlander Mitsubishi (4B11T) 2007-2016 Lancer Evo X 2008-2015 Lancer/Galant Peugeot (4B11) 2007-2012 #4007 2012-2017 #4008 Proton (4B11) 2010-2015 Inspira 2.4L (88mm x 97mm) Chrysler 2007-2010 Sebring 2011-2014 #200 Citroen (4B12) 2008 C-Crosser Dodge 2008-2014 Avenger 2007-2011 Caliber R/T 2009-2020 Journey Hyundai (G4KC) 2005-2008 Grandeur 2004-2007 Sonata Hyundai (G4KE) 2013-2016 Azera 2008-2011 Grandeur 2010-2020 Santa Fe 2007-2019 Sonata 2010-2010 Tucson Hyundai (G4KG) 2007-2021 Starix Jeep 2007-2017 Compass 2007-2017 Patriot Kia (G4KE) 2009-2019 Cadenza 2008-2012 Forte 2008-2019 Optima 2008-2013 Rondo 2011-2021 Sportage 2009-2020 Sorento Mitsubishi (4B12) 2007 Delica 2008-2015 Lancer 2010 Galant 2018 RVR 2020 Eclipse Cross Peugeot (4B12) 2008 #4007 Possible 1.9L (88mm x 77mm) Possible 2.3L (86mm x 97mm) |
Citroen
wasn't it from the PSA group? |
Only the short block of the world engine is common though not necessarily interchangeable due to different mounting points and transmissions. The head, intake, exhaust, etc were designed and developed by the individual manufacturers and each put their own spin on this portion. The VVT technology was shared by Daimler to use in the design of the valve train but that is where the similarity ends.
