2000 Chrysler 300M air conditioner display problem.
The air conditioner display in my new 300M (bought it last Thursday) stopped working. The air still works, I just can't see what the temperature is set or anything. Any suggestions? Is there a fuse for that or something?

No fuse, get a new one. LCD is no good. Sorrry :(

I just got my 99LHS back from the dealer with the same problem. Get ready. $400 for a new power head for Heat & Air Cond. controls plus labor. Then I needed a ECM or ECU engin control unit because the tach and speedo quit. Another $600 and labor for a grand total of $1493.17. But I have to say that the dealer has the right tools and know how for a timely fix. It is easy to create real problems on the software side, be careful

By the way, this thing runs better then it ever has. It no longer thinks it is being stolen so when we get in and turn the key it goes. Sometime it's tough to bite the bullet and let the dealer fix it but this isn't like my 1964 pickup. I'm gonna stick to telephone work. That's what I know.

I already fixed it for $70 from a junkyard. They said it is a very common problem so I got one from a newer Concorde. I don't think it's an lcd issue, it started working when it wanted to and when it was cold.

Doonce could you please help me out--- I bought a 2001 Chrysler 300M with this same problem--- What do I ask the junkyard for exactly? and is it easy to replace if I have little car knowledge????
|
u ask for the ac control head that u touch to change the settings

Okay but would I be able to swap it out myself? I don't have much car experience but have put a cd player in before in a different car...?? Or would a dealership do it for cheap if I bought the part??
