2002 Chrysler 300m rocker arm issue

So just bought Chrysler 300m with 3.5 for 600$. Ran fine when I bought it. On my way home it died in middle of intersection, couldn’t get it started so it got towed home. Had got it running after it stranded me and it ran fine for a few minutes then started to idle real terrible and could only hit about 3 grand. It also started to tick, the tick turned into a loud knock at the top of the motor. I’ve researched problems and it’s known that these motors have lack of oil and rocker arm issues, so I was just wondering when I tear apart to get into the rocker, if there is a way to fix the lack of oil issue. Also replace cam and crank sensor didn’t do ****. Thx for reading and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear you had issues so shortly after getting into a 300M.
Rocker failures do happen but are not real common. Bad news is that these engines are more prone to rod bearing failures (that sound like a top end noise)
I would suggest draining the oil thru a coffee filter to strain the debris in the pan. Once drained, reach in thru the pan plug hole and see what you find.
That will tell you what is next, going in from the top or bottom.
www.300mclub.org is a site dedicated to 300M's and has "How To's" for virtually every repair on your car.
