2005 300 c srt 5.7

Hello all,
I am having an issue with my car. it has 174000 on it. My car will drive in reverse and in first gear up to about 30-35 MPH and 2500 rpm but it will not shift into a higher gear. This came on suddenly and beside that the car has been awesome. Im thinking a solenoid,Does any have any experience with this issue and is this a tough job? Thanks for any help. Much appreciated.

Mike

THINK all you want, IS the Check Engine Light illuminated? The cars computer is there for a reason and when it sees something not right, there are codes it stores to help track down the problem. Certain faults will trigger a limp mode of what you are describing.

No Check engine light is on. Can I put it on a computer and get codes even without the CEL on?

In certain cases...YES. BUT a good scan would be the FIRST place to start before throwing in parts.

P0752 and P0717

These are the codes that popped up on the scan. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Anybody else have the same problem? My car is actually a 2006.

P0717: problem dealing with #1 input speed sensor/wiring or connection
P0752: Problem with shift solenoid A /wiring or connection
Have you ever checked/ replaced trans oil and filter? 174k is a LOT of miles to run without having done this maint. for ANY auto trans.

Yes, that is the very first thing that I did.

Drain or FLUSH ? Seems high mileage mopar trannies do not do well with a fluid flush service. Seems to stir up particles that block solenoid functions. But at least now you know where to start checking/ parts replacement areas.
