2010 chrysler 300 alternator

Trying to figure out if I can possibly swap out my alternator myself. I have the 3.5L V6. Has anyone here done it themselves, and can give me any tips? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

Google Chrysler alternator replacement and select the video you like. I'm sure there is plenty if video available. You can also get the 1st Gen Haynes manual with a section on this topic. Probably not that much difference in 1st and 2ed gen procedure.

I'm betting you will opt for DIY.

So I Googled a couple of u tubes on the subject. It is a bit more involved than I thought. A real PITA actually. See what you think.

I had done the same search, and just did it again to follow up on your message. Neither time was I able to find a video that corresponded with my car or my engine type. If I'm not being too much of a PITA myself :o, could I trouble you for a link?
thanks, I very much appreciate you even reading my post.

I was not able to find an exact match for the alt. swap either but based on the similarities of the cars I did find, I concluded the information was sufficient to "get er done".

If I recall there was a 1st gen. car with the V6 in a couple of the videos. I would go with one of those, more or less. I would give you a link if I knew how. One video made an interesting point; you need a breaker bar to get the main mounting bolts started off as lock tite was applied by the OEM.

Do keep us (me) posted on how it all works out. It looks like you and I are the only interested parties on this particular thread.

Right now, fingers crossed, it seems it was a battery issue disguised as the alternator. I'll know more as the week progresses. If it isn't the battery and I attempt the repair, I will post with my results.
Thanks for your help/responses.
