2010 Key fob questions

I just purchased a 2010 300 Touring and the dealer only had one key fob. The parts folks tells me it will be between $150-$200 for an additional key.

I have seen key fob's on on line for the 50-75 dollar range. Is it possible to purchase one of these and then have a dealer program it? Any ideas on what a dealer would charge to do the programing?

Really they should have thrown in the second one with the deal. That's kinda crappy. Chrysler dealer or not? I believe the retail on those is like $157. Ask them to cost it out to you and program it no charge. The dealer usually charges about 40 to program if you walk in off the street.

True, with a car so new they should throw in another, but I'm not suprised.
It happened to me as well.
But I bought one off Ebay for $50 and had the dealer cut & program it for me for $57

I had squeezed them pretty bad so I don't think they would have been too receptive to another "condition". Even got them to swap tires and wheels with another 300 on their lot, new tires and polished alum chrysler wheels.

Thanks for the advise, sounds like I can save 75 to 100 by going on-line.

Definitely....
Just purchase the key separately and have them program it & cut it for you

When I purchased my vehicle preowned, the tire had about 40% tread left.
I made it clear I wasnt buying new tires and they gave me a set off another vehicle but I kept my rims since I have AWD

You can just order a new one for a fraction of the price off of keyless-remotes.com. They've got the best prices and they always send me the Key Fob in no more than 3 days. Program instructions included.

Good site, but 2010 is not listed in their menu.

I called and they said it was $90. Not sure why it's not listed.
