Default 2014 300 transmission problem

I just purchased a 2014 300 with low miles (8500) I have 10,000 on it now. I haven't even made the first payment.

The transmission seems to have a problem. Not all the time but it does not shift when I take off from the parking lot after work. The tach gauge will go way up and I can tell it is not shifting. So, I let off the gas and try to let it shift on its own. Which it does eventually. I purchased the warranty with the vehicle so I think it is covered but I wanted to know what is wrong before I take it in for repair. Is this a common problem with these vehicles?

Hi lindal,

I'm sorry to hear your 300 is not performing to your satisfaction! I'd be happy to help facilitate a trip to the dealership if needed. Please reach out in private message with your VIN if you need my help.

It should be covered - I took out the extra warranty too.

It doesn't do it every time. It shifts hard at times or not at all. I am concerned it won't do it when I take it in and they will say there is nothing wrong.

I will be calling this morning to set up an appointment for them to look at it.

Resolution lindal? I have a 2012 300 and specifically purchased an extended warranty due to the new 8-speed tranny. very high tech, but worried about long term reliability/durability.
