Default Blind Spot Monitors can do strange things

The details are posted elsewhere, but the main issue for this 300C AWD (I love this car but its endless problems have driven me into the arms of Toyota) was a totally dead Uconnect, including HVAC, radio, Power windows, door locks, nav and probably a few other things. After a week trying to find the problem the car went to the dealer to live. It took three weeks, but after trying pretty much everything they replaced the blind spot sensors. Problems solved. Einstein would call this spooky action at a distance, I think. The moral - if your Uconnect dies along with a bunch of other stuff, try the blind spot sensors. I had checked them two years ago (you have to take off the back bumper and side panel) and they were caked in mud and salt. They are right behind the rear wheels - Not the best environment for electronics. I turned them off - two years ago. Anyway, the beast is running.

Too bad Chrysler is not making AWD 300s with the hemi anymore. As far as I can see the only AWD cars with a V8 are Audi and Merc -both well over $100K and they don't run on regular gas.

Not something I say every day, but full marks to the dealer - it was an expensive repair and they ate a lot of the costs and never got frustrated with my frustration.
