Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I have a 2005, 3.5L Chrysler 300 (Touring) AWD, and as you may or may not know my problem based on the title.

A little history, if you please.

I bought the car private party last year, so I am not familiar with, well, it's history. It's quirks and personality if you will.

But a few months after I bought it (January, February), the blower motor cut out, stopped working, completely. I tested the motor with an external power source and it turned on. I replaced the blower motor resistor and it did NOT turn on. I set out to replace the fuses/relays, when i noticed the Number 2 diode in the rear fuse junction box had fallen out. Don't know how.

I put it back and bada bing, the blower motor was off to the races.

Last week, July 2017, I got home from work, turned the AC off, and....the blower motor would not turn off. It would turn off when I turned off the car, but not the fan speed selector switch (knob).

After pulling apart the dash faceplate, I found, you guessed it, the connector to the speed selector had melted. At this point, I could plug it in, and the blower motor would run constantly at high speed, regardless of selector know location.

After calling my local chrysler dealership and discovering Chrysler has discontinued that particular harness, I opted for cutting the connector itself out of a junkyard 300.

spliced it in, plugged it in, amd...tje blower motor ran at full speed regardless of selector knob location.

Turned the car off, out of frustration, turned it back on a few minutes later and... nothing. No blower motor power. The AC compressor still kicks on, but no fan. Once again I jump the motor and it turns on. Once again I replace the resistor. Nothing. Once again I check and replace all the fuses and relays. Nothing.

please help.

I will answer every question to the extent of my knowledge, this is driving me insane.

(plus its the dead of summer and regularly hits 100 degrees F. plus where I live.
