Brand new 2017 300S, already having issues
 
Hello all, I recently purchased a 2017 300s AWD with pretty good deal on it, drove it around 700 miles and it was a fun ride until I started to hearing rattle noise from the panoramic sunroof, took it back to the dealer i bought it from after a week and they told me no loaner car for me :( Well it was pretty upsetting and wouldn't make much sense for giving me no loaner however I understand dealer doesn't have the responsibility beside fixing the issue with the car. Long story short, after 3 days seating in the shop, the service adviser called me and told me that there were two bolts missing from the sunroof rail and those bolts were seating on the rail.. FROM THE FACTORY which caused the noise. However he assured me it's fixed and they decided to cover partial of my rental fees. Well after two days the noise is back and I went to drop it off at the dealer again this morning.. Now let's see what else is lose from the factory..:confused:

Sorry to hear about your problems. I have a 2012 300 Limited and am interested in the new model but maybe I'll wait a bit more. Do you know where it was assembled?

It was made in Canada, based on my VIN started at 2. Got a call from the dealer saying that they have resolved the noise issue and asking me to come in to test drive with the tech to assure me that rattle is gone. Going to the dealer later and will update on the issue.

Just came back from the dealer, the noise is fixed! The tech was really professional and he went to test drive with me to make sure that I dont hear the noise anymore. Overall great service from the dealer. Will update on you guys if I hear any more noise! However initially when I took delivery of the car I heard the noise from the middle drip tray between sun roofs so I put some padding on the glass and that resolve the issue, but I wasn't be able to resolve the second noise and that's why I brought it in the dealer, I will post some pictures on the fix that I performed so in the future if anybody else has the same issue they can try to fix it yourself before bring to the dealer.. since it was a long process for me to resolve one noise..

Well, guess what, the noise is back again!! Seriously, I'm tired of taking it back in so I just took the matter in my own hand and start diagnosing where the noise is really coming from, after lots of banging on the headliner and stuffing foam between headliner and the sun roof, I think i was able to eliminate the noise, it appear to be that driver side curtain airbag 'metal tubing thing' is moving around and hitting the car frame.. after cushion it around that area the noise appear to went away, hopefully this is it and I dont have to hear the noise anymore. This is my first chrysler product and I'm already pretty disappointing on it's quality. I hope this help to resolve the people who might experiencing the same issue..

I have that exact same rattle on a pano roof of a 2017 300C. Much appreciated.
