Chrysler 300 oil indicator
Just have 2.7 liter engine replaced. I still get oil light coming on when at idle after you drive long enough to heat motor up. Went and got oem oil sensor from dealer and still no luck. I hooked a manual gauge up and ran at idle to engine temp and pressure never got below 11 psi. Car does have idle fluctuation also. Any ideas would help......

What year is your 300?

I thought these pressures were supposed to be up a little higher than you're seeing?
you need to fix your idle issues for sure because if it's idling below 600, then the oil pump cannot keep up and likely throwing the oil pressure light on because of that. |

Yeah I can't find anywhere to give the specs but I called engine manufacture and the said 5 psi is the minimum. That still does not help me if the pressure switch kick on at 10 psi. The dang light and chime will drive u crazy.

Also I'm like u the idle dropping has to be the issue cause it causes lights to dim also

if you're around the Houston area, we can coordinate a drive-by to hook up the diag tool and see what's going on. I don't do repairs for anyone else but I'll help you troubleshoot it if local.
