Cooling Fan

Hello,
2015 Chrysler 300 with the 3.6. Noticed yesterday that my cooling fan is not running in low speed. AC runs fine but fan does not turn on when AC is running. Only the high speed comes on when the temp reaches 230F.
The engine is not overheating. When the high speed comes on, the temp drops to normal.
Any ideas on what this may be?

- Coolant level is Fine.
- Relays looks ok but I have not been able to test.

Since the fan is working and does come on, i am thinking it is not the fan itself being the issue.
Thank you

Like you, I expect the fan to come on with the AC. If it doesn't then I would suspect a relay issue. Look in you owners manual for relays having to do with cooling fan and/or AC.
I know almost nothing about this problem but I do remember 1 of the first rules regarding trouble shooting - always mechanical and electromechanical suspects first.

So. -------------- What happened. How did it turn out?

Hi tarhealcracker,
Thanks so much for your reply and help. Ended up having to replace the entire cooling Fan Assembly ($773) from the dealer. The resistor on the low end was burned out. Unfortunately, on this vehicle, the resistor itself cannot be replaced as it is integrated with the fan.

I am shocked that the fan would quit as such a low mileage on the car.
