first oil change

Was wanting to go to a synthetic my first oil change in a 2006 300C. Was thinking Mobil 1, 5w20. Has anyone tried a synthetic in the variable displacement engines yet and if so, any problems?

RE: first oil change

I put Mobil 1 5w20 in my 05 on the first oil change......no problems. Chrysler uses mobil one in the crossfire and srt8 so why not? Just use the correct weight ( 5w20) do not substitude due to the MDS system. The srt8 does not have mds and uses 0w40.

if this helps i have used Castrol syntec 5w 20 for around 10,000 miles now and it always comes out clean. I change my oil every 3,000 miles with oput fail. I will tell you that the STR-8's come factory with mobil 1 . I preferr the Castrol. GLenn
