headlight upgrade ?
 

I juat bought a 2013 Chrysler 300 and am wanting to upgrade the 9012 bulb to something better than what's in it. I usually run silver stars but notices they don't make a 9012 bulb. I also thought I found a thread where you could convert a 9005/9006 bulb to work, but not sure how well that would work. So any upgrade advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just went through this with my new 300s, factory bulbs are garbage it seems. But yes you can mod 9005/9006 just by clipping a little plastic off the little tabs for housing. Go to a dealer am ask for a burnt out 9005/9006 to practice an use sharp side cutters. Once you look at your factory bulb an the new one you will see where to cut. Same wattage an volts on the two bulbs. Hid an led conversions stay to get pricey in these cars in particurtar. Good luck p.s. Remember not to touch bulb with bare fingers. KronTrooper
