I used the 3M clear bra film on the nose, headlights and running lights on my Pacifica and 1500 and I swear by it. The headlight material is ~3mm thick and will take a beating from a large stones and eliminate "sand blasting" from the small stuff. My neighbor has the same year truck, drives the same route as I and has already replace one headlight and broke both his running lights--I'm still kickin' on the original set.

Also, I installed I new film on my windscreen (around the outside 2.5" perimeter) to eliminate cracks. (Statistics show 90+% of cracks start in this area ) Glad to say this winter I had numerous hits and none resulted in a crack. The company also will replace your windshield and the coating if you get a crack (starting from anywhere).

I think that the tinted film looks good and it will protect the light. Also the films come in many different colors. Let me know and I mught be able to get clear viyl film to protect them. The tintied ones make for a great sleek look.
