Hi what's proper procedure to replace automatic trasmission fluids on a 300 touring 2005 having 42RLE Transmission type?
drop the pan replace the filter fill it back up 3 quarts first then check level as it gets hot.
what's the exacly quantity by manual?
that would be if u replace everything in the trans basically a new trans with no fluid
U are making this way to hard on yourself |
every how many miles i have to do the normal AT fluids replacement (3 quarts)?
read your owners manual
regular owner manual say nothing about at fluids replacement, also maintenance schedule table don't report any at fluids replacement--
page 356 of your owners manual if U don't have one U can down online from My Chrysler: Chrysler Owners Service Manuals - Chrysler Cars, Minivans, SUVs, Convertibles, Crossovers

Ok, i bought an haynes repair manual and now all is clear... but, how do i get the fluid hot?
are u serious?
yes, shifting all speed? or just running in idle?
The manual also say to scan the temperature, but don't say what temperature to reach. How do you scan the temperature? |
Shift slowly through all the shifter positions. Warm the car up to operating temperature, about half way on the guage.
do u have a dip stick or is it a black plug? if its just the black plus then u get to visit a dealer to have them check it because u wont be able to do this procedure.
