A lot of Gas station mech do not have the knowlege to work on the newer cars. Lack of Training for newer cars Chrysler published Service information.....Which we usually dont refer to anymore, because of the repetitive factor. After the first 2 or 3, it becomes knowledge.... We are also discussing a 2006 vehicle....Its six years old.....Independant shop or not, there is NO excuse for not having Information available to you, whether it be Factory manuals, a subscription to an Information Service, or even as lowly as that wonderful thing that us Internet users call GOOGLE... This is the 21st century, and there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE, to go at someone elses vehicle blindly....At very least, its poor ethics... On a lighter note, you should seriously consider what you should do with your breakdown Protection Policy.... Cause that is a Crock... |
What all started this is my car fail state emission test; and computer code was EGR; dealership told me to change spark plugs to make sure I can past emission test. Insurance will not cover because sparks plugs are wear item. I know when you removed the upper mainfold the plugs are in sight and can changed. But dealership wanted 1 hr labor $100.00 and $100.00 parts
