Default Transmission Shift Clunking Sound

2005 Chrysler 300 3.5L On occasion, mostly when cold, the transmission will clunk on the up-shift from 2 to 3. When using the cruise control the shifting is flawless on highway driving up and down hills, accelerating etc. I read that fuse 11 removal and re-installation after a couple of minutes will reset the transmission, is this correct? Is there another means to achieve the smooth shifting like cruise control (without using cruise control obviously)?

140,000 km, (90,00 miles) I bought it with 106,00 km and have not changed the transmission fluid. The previous owner may have if it was a scheduled maintenance item as they followed the book.

I would go ahead and change it. Better safe than sorry.
