Is a used Chrysler 300 a safe buy?

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and I have found forums such as this one to be extremely useful in the past when making an educated decision on a mod or a vehicle purchase..... I am hoping this site will be the same.

I have always liked the style of the 300's and I now finally find myself in a position to buy a used 300 and I am leaning towards a Limited or something with leather and a V6. I do my research pretty thoroughly before I pull the trigger and buy anything and I have read some bad reviews on this car..... as you can with every car if you look hard enough!

I am looking o buy a used 300 for no more than $10,000 and I have found everything from 2005's to 2008's in this price range. A lot of them are very low-mileage cars as well (some with only 60,000kms) but I am finding similar issues with them all, even the low mileage cars. It seems that all of these cars have had front end work done to them (ball joints and tie rods etc...) and brake jobs. Although these 2 items don't seem to bad for cars this old, my concern is the fact it includes cars with only 60,000kms! I have also seen a few of these cars that have had the engines replaced at 130,000kms (V6's).

You guys would know best..... what are the downfalls of these cars? As I said earlier, the 300 to me, is among the most stylish cars on the road and I want one badly but I do not want to buy another money-pit...... I have an F350 Powerstroke for that end of my life! lol

Any heads-up would be greatly appreciated! I would also like to hear from some folks out there that might have over 300,000kms on their V6's and see how you feel about the quality. I have heard the crank-bearings/driveshaft bearing can also be a bit of an issue with these cars in the V6 application.

Thanks in advance!
