2007 Aspen Heating problem

Ok so I noticed this weekend that my heater is acting funny. It works and blows hot air only on the passenger side vent but it only blows cold air on the driver side as well thru the back rear vents. What could be causing this problem? I took it in about 2 years ago to the dealer and they replaced the actuating doors in the back already. ANY IDEAS!!

I been doing some research and I think the rear heating element might be out ,so that might be an easy fix but I'm still researching on the front problem. Feel free to give some input..

That happened to me the other day ... i turned the heat off, then back on again and it worked.

I have noticed over the last little while when I turn on the heat/air, a sort of "hollow" winding up/down noise. From what I have read online, it seems to be a general problem with Chrysler products ... happened to a friend with a older 99 Grand Cherokee. Flaps were getting stuck in the on-off position.

Unofficial talk points to hours at the dealer mainly to remove the entire dash to get at these parts. I've been meaning to stick my remote camera up the vent in the front to see what is exactly happening when the heat/air gets turned on/off.
