2008 Aspen 5.7L Catalytic Converter....

So, my Aspen has been in/out of the shop (not Chrysler dealership) for the last few weeks. O2 sensors replaced, exhaust manifold (small crack), EGR valve, and I'm still getting a check engine light. Last shop the other day was the local Chrysler dealership - after two days of having it they determined it needed a Left Side Catalytic Converter. $1100. Or, I could get one from O-Reilly (Magnaflow) for $352 + installation.

Any opinions on the Magnaflow vs. OEM?

Or my other option, bring it into a performance shop and they can road tune it and tell the computer not to look for those O2 sensors after the Cat's. Thoughts? My guess is if I went that route I'd want to remove the Cat's as they would likely clog over time?? I wouldn't get any HP numbers, but drive-ability would likely be improved with slight performance increase.
