Default 2008 Chrysler Aspen HVAC is always on HI (hot) when starting up??

So, my HVAC controller if previously set at say 70F prior to shutting off the vehicle would still be at 70F if starting it up the next day. No longer does it save the previous temperature? It might save it for 5min. but not any longer than that. If starting up the next day it is/was at the LO temperature setting. Not sure what happened? I bought a different used HVAC controller on EBay and that one always starts off at HI vs. LO??

What is going on, and is there a fix?

Sounds like something to do with the Auto Climate control. Do you have it on Auto, or Manual when setting the temp to 70?

I always have it on manual. I checked fuses and those are all fine...
