2009 Aspen Hybrid Strange Behavior Upon Entrering
 

So, whenever I open the driver's door some system under the hood is triggered and runs for a few seconds. Anybody know what this might be?

This is just the vacuum pump creating a vacuum for the brake pedal. It's normal, however I'm unaware if the vacuum pump should be audible or not. Mine is, but these cars are getting up there in their years.
