I am wanting to add two 3.5" speakers in the dash but I only have the standard 4 speakers not 8 alpines. Has anyone added 2 to the non existing dash holes? Is there wiring there peso I have to wire them to the front speakers? I wanted to get some insight before I rip my dash open

 

I wouldn't expect it to be prewired, but I don't know for sure. Someone on a Dodge Ram forum tore into their dash expecting it to be prewired, and found that it wasn't.

There may be other components (amp, etc.) that need to be considered as well. Are you also considering adding the sub? If so, you may as well get the larger amp as well...
