CD/DVD/ speaker power issue

I have a 09 aspen. I am continually having a dead battery. I have replaced the battery and ran codes and the only code is low voltage. I have searched and searched to find what is being left on. Finally today and sat in my car a long time after turning it off and realized that my CD player and speakers are continually making noise and not turn off. Any ideas?

Yank the radio fuse, if that fixes the problem replace your radio/CD unit

Unfortunately I already taking out the radio fuse and it didn't make the sounds stop. I actually tried 3 different fuses and none of them worked.

I know when the key is turned off, the audio will continue playing for about 30 seconds or until a door is opened. After that, you should not have any noise from the radio. I am seeing 2-3 fuses related to battery feed power for the radio. F7 for radio power, F9 for satellite & DVD (if you have either of those) and F21 for Amplifier. Of course their should be one more that is switched power but it is tied in with other switched accessories and not listed in my manual. However, since you say this is happening after key is off, that one should not matter. If you pull all three of those fuses (F7,F9,F21) at the same time and you are still hearing audio with the key off, you need to have your electrical checked out by a professional. Somewhere you have wires crossed or shorted. I'm wondering if you bought this vehicle used and the previous owner did some modifications to the radio or some other electrical components. Perhaps trying to do some upgrades but damaged it in the process.

Thank you so much for your help. I tried all three of those fuses individually but not all three at once. I will definitely give it a try.

Hi. I ended up bringing my aspen to the dealership and they looked forever to try and find the draw on my battery. They decided it was not the stereo but the overhead console module. So they replaced it. $800 layer. Anyway a month has pasted and my battery is dead again. I was not able to jump the battery and so I take it to the parts place and they say my battery is bad and (my new battery from a month before) so they replaced it. It's starts the next morning but is dead after work. I still thinks it's the stereo. I also got a message on the odometer saying no fuse. Any ideas?

Hi h_hutchins@hotmail.com

Sorry to hear about your ongoing concerns with your vehicle! I would recommend going back to the dealership that did the repairs for further diagnosis. If you would like assistance setting up an appointment or would like me to follow up with them for you please let me know.
