Climate Control Lights Out

Hi. I have a 2007 Aspen, and I noticed that the lights on one one side of the climate control are out. Is this something that can be easily fixed? Can the lights be replaced, or is the climate control unservicable, requiring a whole new unit?

Thanks!

Check a few threads down for the same issue:

Electrical issues seem to plague the Aspen.

Well that bites. Seems like a waste to have to replace the whole unit for a bulb. My extended warranty (the best thing I ever bought!) is still valid. Would this be covered?

u will haft to contact the place u have the warranty through no one but them can answer what U are covered for.

Thanks! I'll do that. It was a 5yr/100,000 km B2B warranty bought through Chrysler Canada. I'm at ~95000 now so I better get on it!

That bulb is easy to replace. It is Mopar part number 5135537AA. The smaller similar bulb in the dash clock is Mopar part number 05019519AA.

I second this statement. My passenger side went out, and drivers side turned offwhite (normally the blue/green color). I took the trim piece off (2 screw at the bottom and then just snaps around the rest). Then unplug the Clock to give you some room to reach in and disconnect the hvac harnesses. Then unscrewed the climate control piece and pull it out. Then replace the bulb(s) (there are 2, left and right) and put it back. You'll need a thin screw driver to get those bulbs out, but not difficult at all.

You can do it while in the car if you want, but I took it out so I didn't break anything else while doing it.

Part Number above is correct and worked in my 09 Aspen. Link to them on ebay. I got mine from the local dealership at $15.50 each. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-2008-D...H6t8:rk:1:pf:0

I have an 09 and the °F on the drivers side is always a lot brighter than the rest of the lights. Also, it doesn't turn off until about a minute after the ignition switch is turned off. Can anyone offer some help here?
