Default 2008 Aspen - Cold Air Intake

I'd like to install a cold air intake on my 2008 Aspen, but I have been unable to find any that will work on the '08. I contacted K&N and they said that they didn't have a unit available for that year, and I have been unable to find anything on the web. Has anyone installed a CAI on an '08 Aspen?

Thanks

Try True Flow intakes. I bought one for my 07. Great throttle response, sound and gas mileage (23-24MPG IS achievable with this). I'm clipping the resonator and adding a dual tip to the tailpipe...should relieve the backpressure some and give it a little throat also.

The TrueFlow was truly a 30 minute install.. with filter and all.

i have got a 08 with the hemi ,i have been thinking about installing a cold air intake, but it is my understanding that it would void my warranty.at least that was what i was told by my service rep.

Hi,

Did you ever purchase the cold air intake? I was shopping for one myself and noticed that K&N makes one for the 2007 and it looks like it should fit.

If you did get one could you please tell me if it made any difference?

Please let me know, thanks!

I have the K&N series 77 cold air intake on my 07 aspen and it is great!!! The installation was a breeze, and I would highly recommend it!
After installation the Hemi (if you have the hemi) sounds like it should when you get on it, but if you drive it nice you would barely know it was there. BTW the fit and everything is exactly as K&n says it should be, no modifications at all needed.

to supplement, snip off the resonator and add a dual tip stainless. I did it for $99 (less I think) and you won't believe the smooth purr you hear. Noticeable only on the outside, not while driving.

I'm using the Tru Flow and it was a breeze.

I was told by the local service rep that any cold air intake other than a Mopar setup would void the warranty. I was also told to ONLY use conventional oil with only Chrysler/Mopar oil filters as that would void the lifetime engine warranty as well. I have always run synthetic in every other car I've owned. Seems a little strange. Has anyone else heard this from Chrysler? Any validity to it? Thanks.
