Malfunction indicator lamp not working

I just bought a 2007 Aspen 5.7 hemi 4x4. I realized that the MIL isn't coming on upon start-up. I suspect that someone has disabled somehow. The reason for suspension is that it will start with the remote start then turn off. I'm hoping that a fuse has been removed or one is blown. The following is other issues that may or may not be associated with the MIL. Temperature gauge doesn't work (stays on cold, needle never moves), service park assist system, gas cap warning. Any suggestions on what fuses to check? My head hurts from researching.....

You are correct with your suspicion regarding the remote start not working; if the MIL lamp is active/supposed to be on, the remote start will not work. I would go to an autoparts store and ask them to scan for diagnostic codes and get a printout of the codes. There is no single fuse for the MIL lamp so the lamp may be burned out or has been removed.

Thank you.

Agree. The MIL light is probably either burned out or removed. Get the codes read and report back so we can see if they are ones that others have ran across before.

As for the gas cap light, probably the ESIM. Easy fix and not expensive. Check this thread for more details. https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...ge-dash-30554/

I'd fix not only the indicators. If I were you, I'd go to the service center to diagnose all the problems. But first, check the serviceability of the MIL indicator at home.

<!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->It doesn't look like there's a fuse there, so take it off yourself and replace the indicator light yourself. I think a small is suitable for this. This is suitable for many devices, and I've checked many times. If the new MIL doesn't work, go to the service center. If you have some other malfunction, their technician will see it on the error detector screen. Good luck finding problems. I hope it's just a burnt-out old light bulb.
