Default Navigation System Question

Have a 2008 Aspen with factory navigation system. Noticed you can't enter anything in the nav system unless you're stopped. Pretty sure this is a built in safety feature, but was wondering if there's a way to overide that feature so a passenger can use the system while moving. All help is appreciated.

Lockpick. Sells for $300-400 Hope you are mechanically minded as you have to remove radio and attach a new harness.

Default RE: Navigation System Question

Do a gogle search for "LX Platform Hacking" you should find a forum dedicated to this. Your 08 model I believe comes with the MY Gig unit but I am not sure what navigation system that contains. I have an 07 with navigation and have hacked the unit to disable the in-motion menu. Works great and is FREE. Well the cost of a good DL DVD is all I had to pay for. Look on that site to find any info, if it not there then you would have to pay for the lockpick unit. The hack is just making a new dvd that upgrades the firmware in the unit and disables any in-motion items.
