Snow/Ice Tires from dealer
 

I never paid attention to this, but I was just informed that my 2007 Used Apsen I purchased last month has 20" Snow/Ice Tires on them and not the regular tires. This would be all fine and good, but I live in an area that doesn't get snow/ice and it is 100+ in the summers. Could this be why I am not getting the greatest of gas mileage in the city? Anything I can do to get the dealers to put the correct tires on them?

Yes -- they will decrease mpg some, but probably not much more than an AT tire. You could ask your dealer to put the correct tires on for your location, but if the deal's already done, they have no obligation. They obviously bought it at an auction -- out-of-state.

Snow tires will generally increase rolling resistance over summer and A/S tires. However, I don't recommend buying summer tires if your only reason is mileage. The Aspen sucks fuel. I get 13-14 mpg if I'm lucky in the city, and that's on stock Goodyear A/S tires.
