Default tailgate release

tailgate wont release manualy works fine with the remote,had the aspen for over a year no problem the handle just dont release the tailgate,like i say works fine with the romote.

Sounds like a case of a broken plastic handle or connector cable. I assume after 1 year you're still under warranty - take it to the dealer and politely ask them to fix it.

Default tailgate release

you have to remove the plastic cover on the tailgate. theres a metal rod that goes to the handle it may have come off.

There is a software update that fixes that. Happened on Durango and my wifes new Aspen too. A trip to the sealership fixed it.
