Unknown source, Unwanted Chime, No Dash Light
2007 Aspen 5.7 - Looking for a solution to an ongoing problem with a random loud chime that goes off for no apparent reason with no warning light showing on the dash. Dealer has offered no solution, nor has an electronic diagnostic shop. No pattern of chime going off - may go off several times within a few miles and/or not at all for several miles with no apparent pattern. Thought it was tied to the chime on tire pressure warning light chime going off (softer chime for that) but the tire pressure monitor has been fixed but not the louder chime. Drives me nuts. Would sell the car, but it only has 54K miles.

That's seems an unusual fix, but I'll give it a try. Thanks!

This suggestion lasted exactly 4.2 miles. But thanks for the try.
Anybody else out there with an idea for the removal of the unwanted chime in my Aspen? |

Matter of fact they do, and the windshield wipers turn on, the rear tailgate opens, the DVD player starts up, the car shifts to reverse, the seatbelts unbuckle, the moon roof opens, and I get a message on my GPS which states "Caution: 62 Dodge's info on the Chrysler Forum is a complete joke" You win. Thanks for indoctrinating me to the Chrysler Forum. Will look forward to seeing posts about 62 Dodge Dart's with the trusty slant 6.

Howdy I asked that because if the front door switches are intermittently working you can get a chime and reading lights will flash. PS I'm glad that you think that I am jokester that made me laugh.
