Crossfire Alternator / Pulley

I need to change my alternator on 2006 Crossfire, but need to know how to release the tension on the pulley. Any help out there?

I have an SRT6 but would think they are very similar. Go to www.crossfireforum.org and download a manual. Or search the N/A forum and you will be surprised that a how to is probably posted already. I've changed pulleys on mine and the pulley is just a tensioner. Release tension with a torx socket to get the belt off.

tension problem

Well normally if you buy parts for your car (chrysler crossfire parts) it should come with the manual on how to install it. But if you have problem on releasing the tension, you would notice there's a bolt/square built onto the tensioner. Use a wrench to release tension. Attach the wrench and use pressure on the opposite belt tension and gently slide belt off of alternator or ac compressor. Reverse the install. use a good belt routing diagram.
