oil change
Hi guys, hope you can assist?I'm looking to do an oil change and filter change every 6000km as I live in a very dusty areabut I'm lookingand not seeing a sump plug for oil drainage?

u haft to remove the lower plastic valance under the car first.
make sure u use what oil it asks for . |

STANDARD PROCEDURE - ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGEChange the engine oil at the mileage and time intervals described in the maintenance section of the Owners Manual.
WARNING: NEW OR USED ENGINE OIL CAN BE IRRITATING TO THE SKIN. AVOID PROLONGED OR REPEATED SKIN CONTACT WITH ENGINE OIL. CONTAMINANTS IN USED ENGINE OIL, CAUSED BY INTERNAL COMBUSTION, CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. THOROUGHLY WASH EXPOSED SKIN WITH SOAP AND WATER. DO NOT WASH SKIN WITH GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, THINNER, OR SOLVENTS, HEALTH PROBLEMS CAN RESULT. DO NOT POLLUTE, DISPOSE OF USED ENGINE OIL PROPERLY. Inspect the drain plug threads for stretching or other damage. Replace the drain plug and gasket if damaged.[*]Remove the oil filter. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL FILTER - REMOVAL).[*]Install the drain plug (1). Tighten to 30 N·m (22 ft. lbs.).[*]Install the lower splash shield. Tighten to 7 N·m (5 ft. lbs.).[*]Lower the vehicle and fill the crankcase with specified type and amount of engine oil.[*]Install a new oil filter. (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL FILTER - INSTALLATION).[*]Install the oil filler cap.[*]Start the engine and inspect for leaks.[*]Turn off the engine and inspect the oil level.[/ol] USED ENGINE OIL DISPOSAL Care should be exercised when disposing used engine oil after it has been drained from a vehicle engine. Me thinks, if one cannot figure out that the plastic sheild has to be removed to gain access to the drain plug,one should not be changing the oil.
