Rain poured in!!!

Rain poured into my roadster when I got caught out on the road in heavy windy rain. I have a 2005 Crossfire Convertible 2 Door Limited. Service first said they ran it through a car wash and could not duplicate the problem. So I took it to a self-service wash and using the high pressure setting was able to duplicate the problem. Water comes in seemingly from the rear top to bottom of the side windows. Took back to service but they are stumped. Anybody know how to solve this problem other than not driving in the rain??? Sometimes you just get caught.

It's obviously an adjustment problem, either of the window or the convertible top, or both. Probably your best bet is to take it to a body shop, maybe one that specializes in German cars and/or convertibles and see if they can get it adjusted properly.

Thank you. I took it back to service and they say they made a window adjustment. Took it back through the self-service wash with the high pressure hose and it's better at keeping the water out but not perfect. It's supposed to rain this weekend so as long as I don't get wet, I wonder if this is the best it will get?

It might be better in the rain than the car wash. If it performs reasonably well in the rain, then maybe that's good enough. You're probably better off washing it by hand with a garden hose.
If it continues to be unsatisfactory, consider seeking out a specialist. Convertible top adjustment is something of an art, and unless the technician has lots of experience at it, he may not be able to do the best job.

Thank you. Will do!
