Try replacing the plastic gasket with a larger one, if that fails, try all of the above with Pan Replacement as a last option...
Cheers!! |
there isn't a platic washer on ours. there is a rubber seal set into the drain plug itself, looks to be molded in, it is crimped into a recessed grove on the plug
sadly, i think the threads are buggered up |
You can buy a replacement oil drain plug at your local auto parts store. Try that first.

I had to get a new drain plug for the wives 2004 pacifica at autozone they dont hold up very well always had the oil changed at the dealer. You can buy the washers there too it will just be like a double seal try that.

it is getting pretty bad now. it isn't the drain plug. i have bought a time-sert kit for it i got of amazon... it wasn't cheap, but it was cheaper than a new pan.....
now, just time to do it.. as soon as work lets me have some days off...... |
