Default 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Stalling

I have a 2007 touring, 4.0L Pacifica. At low speeds it keeps stalling. I have taken it to the shop, but they weren't able to see any error codes. They also couldn't duplicate when doing test drives. It is starting to stall more and more frequently.
Has anybody experienced this. If so, how did you solve?

Thanks!

Hi alphinr,

I have a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica Touring and my car has also been stalling while driving. It took mine to the dealership too, and they were trying to duplicate the problem but couldn't. They also could not read any codes, because my check engine light was not on.

I know this same issue was recalled for the 2005-2006 Pacificas. And in that instance they had fuel pump replaced and the PCM reprogrammed. You can google the F44 recall. But I'm not certain this will fix the issue on ours though. There are also a lot of reports that this is caused due to oil sludge build up. The dealership told me that I needed my ETR Exhaust Gasket replaced & PCM reprogrammed. I'm planning on going back to the dealer this week.

Please let me know if you are able to find out more information and I will do the same.

Default Same problem here...

2007 4.0L 2WD Touring Pacifica, Bought used in Nov. 2007 w/20K miles. Now at 89K miles, and has begun stalling while driving when we let up on the gas. Brought to our local mechanic, no error codes, even though the "check engine light" had gone off and on. Brought to dealer - charged $85 "diagnostic fee" to find...

"No Error Codes"

Found a corroded ground cable, so they "cleaned it" but said that the Pacifica's often have "sticking EGR valves." Suggested replacing it for $230.

Found part at a Chrysler dealer for $82. Alldata says 0.9 hours labor to replace. Have your mechanic check the EGR valve, since they seem to be, according to the dealership, a regular problem.

I have a similar problem with our 07 4.0L awd w/120k miles it basically stalls when the engine is cold like in a humid morning but once the engine is warm all is ok. I was considering replacing all spark plugs and coils as these are all original but maybe I will consider replacing the EGR if it is accessible. Let me know if you find the answer to this problem. Thx

Default egr replacement

Hi I have a pacifica 2007 with similar stalling issues. Has anyone ever replaced the EGR valve by themselves rather than taking it to a dealership. Would love to be able to save the monies of the labor costs

Thumbs up I Did, Sort Of...

I bought the part at a dealership (my sister-in-law works at one and got a discount for it) and brought it to my local mechanic. I saved quite a bit on the labor.
