If you are looking for info, why don't you buy the service for one time use or by the month/year unlimited. I find these services helpful when looking to buy a car.

Carfax and Autocheck are 2 that I know of. There may be more if you search the internet. I think Autocheck might be cheaper. Keep in mind that these services are for the most part reporting correct information however in the case of my Pacifica, one of these were reporting a smog check failure and I never had the car smogged and I was the original owner. I finally got the record cleared but it took several months of pressure to get the record correct.

call them up have them run a VIP report
