A/C questions
Well the ac took a dump on the 2005 3.5l Pacifica and looked like it was the compressor was at fault for multiple reasons. I replaced the compressor with a reman one, expantion valve, dryer, and flushed the system(not in that order). Well the Pacifica was in a wreck before my fiancé bought it and did not come with any tag to tell how much freon to add (tried to buy replacement but discontinued from Chrysler). Found some people online and came up with 24 oz as an average and figured I would add 24 oz and then just go by my gauges. Well put my oil into compressor, hooked the lines up, pulled vacuum, let it sit, and I everything passed so I went ahead and started to add charge. Well I added 24oz and my low side is about 37-40psi with car running at idle (hot 82 deg day with high dew point) but my high side only went to 100psi. I checked my thermometer in the center dash (fan all the way up, on vent, max ac) and its cold at 43 deg. Seeing if this seemed like a normal thing for PAC users. I was used to low side 30-40 about and 200-250 about on high side. Lemme know if that the high side number seems a bit different than normal.
