Can't seem to break the trans. oil pan loose

My '04 AWD Pac is still running like a champ with 104K on the clock, but I would like to change the trans. fluid and filter, just on general principles. I backed out all of the mounting bolts, but the pan is still firmly attached to the trans. housing. I've tried pounding on it with a block of wood and a hammer, and also tried wedging a chisel in there to separate it, all to no avail. It seems like the sealant the factory used has bonded the components together. Does anyone know of a way to do this without permanently damaging either the pan or the housing? Thanks in advance.

put 2 bolts in one end the top then use a gold ole 32OZ hammer and smack the side

Wow! A 32oz. Hammer! I'll try to stay on your good side! Thanks for the advice.
