Power steering pump?

Might want to check your power steering pump fluid level or transmission fluid level. Does the whining get louder when you turn the wheel right to left?

Hi
I have not dealt with this specific issue on the Pacifica, but on several other vehicles it has been an idler or tensioner pulley in the belt drive. I have also heard a serp. belt make a lot of noise when coolant got onto it. A Mechanic's stethoscope or a length of hose held against the ear and directed to a specific area in the belt drive area can help isolate the sound. Be careful.
