Default 3rd led brake lamp not working

brake lamp on liftgate not working on my 06 pacifica. I did see them flicker. any ideas.

Silly question, but you did not say you did, so hear goes. Did you check the bulb? I suspect a bad filament or dirty contacts.

they are leds, so there is more than one. it looks like a assy.

Feeling Brave?????

Yes its an assembly...... Moisture collects in the housing and rots the "LEGS" of the led's, and The circuit board gets "Green + Fuzzy"....

If your good with a soldering Iron and a Pencil eraser...It is USUALLY fixable, But tedious and time consuming.....Your other option is to replace the lamp assy.

I use a soldering iron everyday, so I am good with that. but can I get to the assy to do the soldering or is it enclosed.
