Driver window FELL into door

Anyone else have that problem? It is on an '04 Pacifica. Motor just spins. Didnt have time to tear into it. Happened as the wife was rolling out of the driveway for work. I managed to grab the corner and pull it up. So I used some metal tape and taped it up. Looks awesome. She is thrilled. Might take it to the dealer since it is so cold out.

Regulator is broken at the "LIFTPLATE".... DO NOT USE THE MOTOR UNTIL THE REGULATOR IS REPLACED. The liftplate is part of the center "Track", so if the regulator moves too far, you WILL BUST the glass.

When you see the cost of the regulator, the cold outside will not be a factor...

Had same problem with the same year car too. If you would like some pics and tips give your email. Chased around for a couple of days looking for for a OEM part. Could find no one other than the dealer for it. Didn't trust a used one. Aprox. $300 and a hour or two in my driveway and it works like new. Thanks. *BW*

Close enough.......I just did this earlier in the week...$327 for the regulator, and labor was 1.7 hours book time....

Unfortunately, my customer kept trying the window in the "HOPES" it would just start working again........And BUSTED THE GLASS...........

Not to pick, but rather for future Reference..........DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN A FROZEN WINDOW.....

Well I got it apart and found the carnage. Bought a OEM regulator from the dealer in town that my dad works for. $182.67 w/tax. Going to put it in tomorrow after work. Now I just need to change out the control arms. Sounds like it is going to come apart when driving over all this ice. Thanks guys.

I am Yet to see control arm bushings fail on a Pac.

But , anything is possible.....I would be more inclined to believe that your sway bar bushings and Links are wiped out.

With the car flat on the ground, and the wheels pointed straight ahead, roll down the drivers window..(No pun intended):) and have an assistant rock the car left to right from the window opening. Now reach around either front tire and grab a hold of the sway bar link Joints. any play will be immediately felt as a sharp "POPPING". On the road, over bumps, it WILL make one HELL of a RACKET.

Well I did just replace the sway bar links and bushings about a month ago. The drivers side was broke. I noticed the the motor mount was trashed while I was doing the links. So I changed out the mount. Still have a clunk o. The front end. Only other thing it could be is ball joints or something in strut bearing. Does it when going over a rolling curb or going over rough road/ice at a slow speed.

Sway Bar bushings & motor mount

01Offroad did you do these repairs yourself and if so what was the cost to replace and how difficult.
