Dumb question - am I already set up for a roof rack?

This is probably a silly question, but here it goes...

I have an 05 Pacifica Touring w/o the roof rack cross brackets. I bought the vehicle slightly used at the end of 2005, and it did not have the roof rack brackets. Upon closer examination, it looks like it *might* have the barebones to add on the cross brackets? There are what looks like strips along each side of the roof with circles at intervals.

Did a roof rack come standard on an 05 Pacifica Touring model? Can I just purchase the brackets and install myself?

Thanks-

It is my understanding that all PACs came with the rails in place and the cross members were optional as there are two different types. The cross members can be purchsed at the dealer or Ebay.

There were some old posts if you go back a waysabout there not being roofracks for Pacs with sunroofs.
Mine (2004) has a sunroof and the grooves in thesiderails only run from the middle of the rear door back.
The siderails beside the sunroof are grooveless. This could be your dilema if you have a Touring w/ sunroof??
I never followed the outcome cuz I didn't want racks...but you should be able to find it if you go back through the forum's history.Good Luck
