RE: DVD region

I'm actually working on that problem myself, so far the only answer is to re-burn the PAL dvd's into NTSC's. Unless somebody knows how to change the region on the dvd player....

Answer:

I am very sorry, but it is not possible to change the region code on your DVD player. It was built for the US market only. There is a DVD player available for the European market. Please speak to your nearest Chrysler dealership for assistance with this. It may also be necessary to replace the DVD screen with a PAL-formatted screen, as the US market uses the NTSC format. I am not certain if the screen in your vehicle will switch formats automatically (some do) or if it is locked into NTSC. The dealership should be able to determine this. I write dvd with ntsc in Nero Vision and the movie work! so in my dvd work only ntsc movies

RE: DVD region

Of course it would be NTSC in the US... most DVD players you buy here are code free, but not region free. That is how all these big companies (sony, pioneer, etc) make big money.

If you buy a dvd player over the internet you may be able to swap out the stock DVD player with your code/region free dvd player -not sure what kind of effort that would take, but it might be worth looking into.
