Electrical Problem
 

I own a 2004 Pacifica that has been running fine until the other day when the radio, heat, a/c . clock and remote door locks all quit at the same time. I let it run for a little while as I checked under the hood and it did come on for a brief period then when I shut it off to check the fuses it went out again. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? I checked all of the fuses that I could find. I also switched some of the relays to see if it was possible one was bad. My only thought is it is either an onboard computer problem or a harness that might have come unplugged. DOes anyone have any ideas I can try before I take it for an expensive trip to the dealer?

Ok, so this morning my wife went out to go to work and the Pacifica told her "invalid key fob". What does that mean?I am begining to suspect that my problem could be from a bad ignition switch that does not allow the accessories to be turned on. Does any one have any ideas?

Any resolution on this issue? My wife just called me and said her heat, radio and sunroof just went out. Accy power outlets are working as are all cluster instruments.

I plan to check fuses, just curious if you found a solution for your problem.

The only problem I see with that is; the original poster wrote that about 5 years ago..............

Ya I saw that it was 5 years old, but it was the closest thread I could find to my problem and so I was more using it as a bump.

Thanks for the link to the instrument cluster issue, not quite the same as my issue, but maybe the solution over there will work on this.

Of course when my wife got back in the car later everything was working fine. So I guess I'll wait to see when it happens again. Notice I said "when"...

I'm not a fan of this car.
