Default electrical problems

hi there. we got our pacifica last Saturday. We started having problems with the electrical locks. The door lock on the drivers side kept attempting to auto lock, then the passenger side doors would constantly lock and unlock when the car was in motion. Yesterday, it was a nice day and i thought i'd drive with the windows down, but the driver side (front and back) wouldn't budge. I also noted that the locking and unlocking would stop if the car was coasting(i.e. my foot off the accelerator). Today I noticed that if I turn off the auto lock feature in the EVIC the lock problem is somewhat resolved, however still no power windows on the driver side and it should be noted that the unlock button on the key does not open the drivers door. I think I'll look at the fuses tonight, any other suggestions???
thanks, JIM

Default RE: electrical problems

I've had similar problems with my 2004 Pac which I purchased in Sept 05. At first the car performed great but as of this summer the electrical problems started showing up. First the powerlocks started acting erratically, locking and unlocking at ramdom whether the car was moving or not, or whether the key was in the ignition or not. Got locked out several times because of this. This problem started in July 06, its December and after four trips to the dealer to have the module replaced the problem persists. Now my fuel gauge goes from full to empty just about every time I am drive. My winshield wiper and low tire pressure warning light come on even though there's nothing wrong with either of these devices. I was very happy with this vehicle for the first year and now I can see myself without it in the near future.

Exact same problems I made a 500km trip yesterday and it got worse and a bomb bombs when everything goes in tilt direction arrows do not work windows do not go radio turns off lights in position go high as if you greet someone speed 'do not see, I also took radar ... gasoline in a while you have to look inside the tank to see if there is, Yesterday I dismounted the seat button but it is not that problem. Chrystine the infernal machine and nothing in comparison I hope that it will catch fire soon then maybe chrysler will explain to us.

Check the ground connections on the frame below the battery. Ours went out on a road trip-dash freaked out, chimes went crazy, etc. We were able to keep going and get home. The 9 wires into 2 ring connectors had 3 broken grounds, and the 4 wires into 1 ring connector had at least one broken ground. These do a lot, like dash, gauges, shift from park, drive by wire, for example.
