Fan stuck on high no matter what the setting.

Sorry I'm a newb. So Hi, I know there is a thread here about this because its a common problem but i can't seem to find it. Can some one help me out?

The low down; My parents a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, its a base model with the 3.5 V6 in it, Dual Climate control, power everything. about a year ago the Fans stuck on. It would change heat but no matter what you set the fan level to, they were on high. Rear heater was still responsive to everything.

About a month ago the fan didn't turn on. And it still hasn't it doesn't run at all now. I heard someone complaining about his ram which was an 03 that he had a similar issue. The blower motor resitor goes, and after awhile it burns threw the bearings in the blower motor and it dies all together. I'm assuming this is the problem with my car. But when i went to order the parts from carquest he said the non-climate control models don't have resistors. So no that I'm confused, my parents cold, I wanna ask fellow owners, What the hell is going on? and whats a good manual to this car? (I hate Chilton, nothing but kindling if you ask me.)

We replaced our resistor a few months ago. Got the part from the dealer for aprox $70 and was a ez job to do. Works fine now. Thanks. *BW*
