Motor mounts

I have been experiencing a vibration in the front end when braking. The higher the speed the more violent the shaking. I thought it was the front brakes but it turned out that the motor mounts are the culprit and need to be replaced. How can it be - 37000 miles ????? I have owned numerous cars in my lifetime and never have I had to replace motor mounts. The question now is it covered under my "LIfetime Powertrain Limited Warranty"?

humm motor mounts do not cause vibrations when breaking only when the load of the engine is changed u have warped rotors.

Due to the ever increasing amount of lead-Based Material found in the right side component of adult footwear, there is currently no permanent repair for this issue.:)

Now, In all Honesty.... If your mounts were bad enough to cause a Vibration, You would have "Trashed" the CV axles Years Ago........

I second the Warped Rotor Theory.

Your info is very helpful. The vehicle is at the Chrysler Dealer and undergoing a Diagnostic Evaluation. I should know by tomorrow what the problem is.

motor mounts

Well it turns out that the brakes were causing the vibration when braking. Now the problem still remains that the motor mounts are worn. The engine has considerable movement when placing the trans in drive or reverse. I would say that the engine moves a good 4" front to back. The Chrysler dealer/mechanic said "the motor mounts are fine, nothing wrong with them". Any thoughts on this?
