Pacifica sentry key change
I just bought a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and I am getting ready to do some upgrades to it and I was wondering if I would be able to change to ignition switch to the new ignition switch that's on the '09 Chrysler 300. If any one has any info on this please let me know. Thank you.

no wont happen 09 cars can bus system 04 PCI not interchangeable

Can you explain what the difference is, what does the 09 key have?

the 04 key has a transponder just as the 09 does the main difference is how the module talks to the rest of the car.
04 PAC is PCI bus and the 09 is CAN bus faster can handle more stuff here is the basics of CAN and PCI. DESCRIPTION The Programmable Communication Interface (PCI) data bus is a single wire multiplexed network capable of supporting binary encoded messages shared between multiple modules. The PCI Bus circuit is identified as D25 and is white with a violet tracer. Additional tracer colors may be added to the violet in order to distinguish between different module connections. The modules are wired in parallel. Connections are made in the harness using splices.Each module provides its own bias and termination in order to transmit and receive messages. The bus voltage is at zero volts when no modules are transmitting and is pulled up to about seven and a half volts when modules are transmitting The CAN bus is a two-wire multiplex system, while the PCI bus is a single-wire multiplex system. Multiplexing is any system that enables the transmission of multiple messages over a single channel or circuit. The CAN-C bus is used for communication between all vehicle powertrain and chassis nodes, including the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB), the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) and the Electronically Controlled Clutch (ECC) (also known as the All Wheel Drive/AWD) module. Chrysler does not make one no. aftermarket who knows.
